Meet the Executives
The President, Tommy Hertel, runs the meetings and keeps the relationship between ACTS and Louisiana Tech fluid. He is also the liaison between ACTS, LCCCS, and UCM.
The Vice-President, Ethan Dowell, is in charge of establishing and implementing the support needed to maintain a positive relationship with the parishioners of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
The Secretary, Evan Simon, takes minutes of all the Leadership Team meetings and sends them to the team and the ACTS community. He also sends out weekly emails to update the ACTS community on the upcoming events.
The Treasurer, Joseph Curtin, is in charge of the ACTS checkbook and student funds. He also helps organize fundraising events and strategies to keep ACTS in good fiscal shape.
The Chaplain, Nicholas Winkelmann, leads prayer at the beginning and end of all ACTS meetings. He works closely with the Campus Minister and the pastor in responding to the spiritual and liturgical needs of the ACTS community.

Plans and coordinates all social events for the association.
Publicity
Advertises all weekly and special events for the association through emails, Facebook©, Twitter©, Instagram and bulletin boards in the Catholic Student Center, and any other means of effective advertising, as well as, maintaining the appearance and information on the website. The historian is part of this committee, and is responsible for documenting current events and keeping our archives up to date.
Intramurals
Coordinates and registers teams for said sports of each quarter, meet with the Intramural Director as needed, and schedule practices.
IMPACTS
Plans and coordinates activities to promote the social teachings of the Church and address the needs of the community. Included in this would be ACTS-Me, local mission trips like Simple House, national mission trips like Guatemala, and Big Event for the Ruston community.
Fundraising
The committee has two responsibilities: 1) To raise funds specifically for student activities and equipment. 2.) To host two fundraisers, one in the Fall Quarter and one in the Spring Quarter that support the General Operating Fund through St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
Hospitality/Environment
Ensures that the Student Center is properly maintained, that all feel welcome and coordinates “Hospitality Sunday” after the 7pm Mass. The committee is responsible for the general upkeep of the Catholic Student Center and its grounds.
Guys/ Girls Group
Responsible for planning bi-weekly event that should be a balance between social events and spiritual events.
Faith Formation
The committee is responsible to hosting daily prayer opportunities, prayer groups and Stations of the Cross for both the University and the Parish. The Faith Formation Committee should ensure that the Catholic Student Center’s Lounge is set up to celebrate the Eucharist at 9 pm every Wednesday that Tech in session for the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters.
